A mixed secondary school in the central Manchester area is looking for a MFL teacher who is able to teach French and German.

Our client school are specifically looking for an innovative MFL teacher to cover an upcoming maternity leave on a temporary basis from September 2018.

* Full time MFL teacher - Maternity cover
* Teaching German to GCSE level and KS3 French
* Maternity cover initially from September until Easter – Extension for the full academic year likely
* Opportunity for temporary/part time depending on the individual’s availability
* Pay in line with MPS/UPS – Experience dependant (�22,917 - �38,633)
* Applications are encouraged from both NQTs and those with more teaching experience.

The school wish to appoint an MFL teacher who can consistently provide engaging lessons to lower ability learners as well as stretch the learning of more able learners. Innovation and creative lessons are key so that students remain engaged and enjoy the subjects as choices for German have typically been high.

The school has an ethos of honesty, pride and a student centric approach to school life. They are therefore looking for a teacher who can encompass these values and put the students at the forefront of their teaching. The successful teacher of Modern Foreign Languages will benefit from a highly supportive MFL department and Senior Leadership Team.

The school is an average sized secondary school with approximately 950 – 1000 students on roll. EAL at this school is at a regular level with students generally being academic in nature. Located in the Central Manchester area, easily accessible from the surrounding area as well as those teachers living in the Greater Manchester area. The school is easily accessible via public transport with local trams and buses servicing the school well.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
