Our client who are a specialist Global Forwarding/Logistics Provider have a full-time 9 month contract role for a HR Manager available starting in August 2018 covering Maternity. To qualify you will have HR Management experience and be available to start a position in August. This is a full time role, 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, £40k plus holiday. Role Purpose This role is responsible for providing specialist HR leadership, support and guidance to the Group Executive Board, managers and employees including implementation of HR policies and processes, recruitment, learning and development and performance management. You will be responsible for Policies and Procedures Employee Engagement Employee Benefits & Payroll Staff Recruitment Employee Relations Talent Management Admin & HR Systems ('MY HR') HP KPI & Metrics....absence management/retention & turnover/appraisals/recruitment & overtime costs) Person Spec Personal Attributes : Self-motivated Able to work on own initiative Excellent interpersonal skills Able to have challenging conversations Key Skills and Attributes: Good problem solver Excellent and up to date knowledge and understanding of employment law and how to implement into HR policies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Communication working across various levels of an organisation. Qualifications and Experience Degree qualification or equivalent (desirable) CIPD qualified Proven experience in HR Manager Position Experience working in the Logistics environments (desirable)
