We currently have a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity for an experienced Planning Analyst to join our team in Oldham. Reporting to the PMO Manager, you will facilitate the development of and maintain Guinness’s Portfolio, Programme and Project Plans, Dependency Logs and Resource Requirements. Key Responsibilities: Perform the detailed planning activity that informs the overarching change portfolio plan and related programme plans; identify dependencies for projects within programmes and across the portfolio. Perform the detailed resource planning activity that informs the overarching portfolio resource plan and related programme plans. Maintain, track, understand and communicate the impact on the portfolio and programmes from variances, issues and risks related to the schedule, cost and plan, working with the project managers to ensure these are managed and escalating as relevant where there is potential for impact on milestones or business outcomes. Ensure that the plans satisfy the scope and timescales authorised by the Programme Boards and work with the Programme Directors to identify any gaps and capture the activities planned to fill those gaps. Ensure all programme and project plans are baselined. Challenge project timescales and assumptions to ensure that the deliverables are achievable, align with business outcomes, planning standards and key milestones, and that activities are sufficiently resourced. Define the Change Function’s approach to the use of its project tools (in particular MS Project) providing a standardised approach which enables collaborative working. Champion the adoption of these standards across Guinness Role Requirements: Experience of working within a customer service environment Experience of working within a PMO or Change Management background Proven track record of analytical and MI reporting experience Robust knowledge of project life cycles, project delivery and planning, methodologies and software Excellent oral and written communications Excellent organisational, planning and resourcing skills Excellent / Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Project and Excel Able to demonstrate Guinness behavioural competencies Project Management Foundation, ISEB PPSO or other relevant training / qualifications.
