Supply Desk are working closely with a school in Stockport pecialising in ADHD who are looking for a SEN Teacher to join their busy team. The Head teacher of this Primary school is keen to meet passionate and dynamic individuals who already have some prior SEN experience and are keen to grow and develop their skill set.

About the role:

Working as part of an established SEN department as a Primary SEN Teacher
Start date September 2018
Daily rate of £135 and upwards
Plan, deliver and teach individual students or small groups across a range of curriculum subjects
Managing challenging behaviour
Encouraging and engaging pupils with ADHD
Working closely with SENCO

About the right candidate:

Previous experience with ADHD preferable but not essential
Qualified Teacher Status, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
Commitment to raise the expectations of the learner group, removing barriers to learn and delivering personalised learning
Having a “can do” attitude
A team member who is confident, adaptable and can embrace change
Exceptional social and communication skills
Display enthusiasm, be proactive, have lots of initiative and able to prioritise support
Have a real focus in classes to break down expectations and encourage learning
