Package - �50 p/day overseas allowance + �70 p/day whilst offshore + on call allowance of �100 p/month + overtime + holidays + life assurance + up to 10% matched pension + PLC training

P60 - �65,000 - �70,000 + �8,000 - �9,000 in allowances.

They are a water technology business that provides the full installation, commissioning and ongoing support including spares for all major OEMS across their product offering.

Their client portfolio is vast and varied, consisting of businesses within municipal, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, marine, waste water, metals & mining, power, paper manufacturing and more.

They are currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to be based within their marine division, with a core focus on ballast water treatment systems.

About the role

The company is experiencing growth across all their market sectors, particularly within Marine / ballast filtration. Due to this, they now require a Commissioning Engineer to join them.

As the Commissioning Engineer, you will be involved in the new installation and retrofit, along with the commissioning of ballast filtration systems on a variety of vessels, including tankers, gas vessels and tramp steamers.

To give you a clear picture of what the role of a Commissioning Engineer looks like, please see below;

* Travel to a customer vessel, this may be dry dock, or you may board and go with the client on their voyage - anywhere in the world.
* Equipment arrives in sections and is essentially a skid consisting of components such as filters, fans, electrolysers, dosing pumps, de-gas systems, chlorination systems, electrical wiring and PLC's.
* Full commissioning and testing
* Away for 2 - 3 weeks at a time on a regular basis

About the candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Commissioning Engineer, you will need;

* To be electrically biased and qualified

* Electrical skills to include; reading electrical schematic diagrams, fault finding up to 440v, carrying our continuity checks etc
* Can check inputs and outputs (I/O) on PLC's (ideally modify but this will be taught)
* Can change mechanical component parts
* Ideally come from a marine engineering background - Navy, Cruise ships, Merchant Navy etc.
* You must be happy to travel around the world and can work in confined spaces
