 Quantitative DeveloperLondon based  My client is seeking an experienced Quant Developer to join their dynamic, fast-paced high-frequency trading team. You will be expected to be equally well-versed in both coding and mathematics, and will be working very close to the business. You will be combining your technical and analytical expertise to provide effective and innovative solutions through knowledge of algorithms, statistics and high performance computing. As a technology and data-driven firm, they design and build their own cutting-edge, high-performance trading platforms. The Function  You will be building and maintaining critical, high-performance trading engines and supporting infrastructure, whilst working side-by-side with Quant Researchers/Traders/Portfolio Managers to implement trading strategies effectively. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate effectively between different business units. Key Responsibilities:  Long-term design improvement and maximization of code reuseAssist quantitative researchers with technical aspects of trading strategies and signals, as well as other R&D workContribute to strategic design and roadmap for high performance trading infrastructureProduction support, primarily in L2 capacity; L1 support when working on specific strategy roll-out  projectsWork closely with other teams (feed handlers, order gateways, reference data) driving cross-team  initiatives, including comprehensive latency monitoring, new markets and products rollouts, and others Skills/Qualifications: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related subject; Masters or higher a plus3+ years strong programming experience under Linux, at least 1 year in C++2+ years’ experience working on high performance mission critical systemsA team player with good communication skills and a preference for compromiseAbility to balance tactical work with pursing long-term strategic objectives2+ years experience working in trading floor environment, implementing fully automated trading strategiesExperience in effective collaboration with quant researchers and traders, responsible for trading model design and operation; proven ability to:convert abstract requirements into concrete trading implementations and algorithmstroubleshoot trading algorithm and systems issues across large complex distributed systemsFamiliarity with basics of listed capital markets and market microstructure (esp. equities and futures); advanced understanding a strong plusBasic statistics; advanced quantitative skills a plus, but not requiredGUI programming experience a plusMust be able to work well under pressure and tight deadlinesEffective and professional communicator If interested please send a copy of your CV to Amita.Patel@AnsonMcCade.com or call 020 77806700 for more information.
