JOB TITLE: House Coordinator

SALARY & BENEFITS: £21,500 - £23,500 per annum DOE + sleep in payments

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week with on-call duties on an agreed rota basis 

THE COMPANY: We are currently working with a charity who provides unique person centred support, based on a modern view of the charities movement. The service is for adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.

THE ROLE: As the House Coordinator you will be working in conjunction with the Care and Support Services Manager to ensure an outstanding level of support is provided to residents, staff and co-workers living and working in their house. 

Key Responsibilities for the House Coordinator role to include:- 

• Take the lead responsibility for the promotion and management of employees’ and volunteers development in your house
• Participate in and support the training, leadership, management and welfare of all staff and co-workers, resident or employed, that live and/or work in your house 
• Manage the welfare and day activities arrangements of the residents in your house in line with Government initiatives, the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and other relevant care regulations 
• Work in a cost-effective manner, engaging with the finance team to support budget planning and monitoring
• Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision 

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have an understanding of managing people with challenging needs and their behaviour. You will be able to pro-actively engage with service users and maintain professional boundaries at all times. You will also have the ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. 

Key experience essential for the role of the House Coordinator:- 

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or Equivalent
• Previous experience working within a Social Care setting
• Experience leading, supervising and training less experienced staff members
• Experience of completing Service user documentation, e.g. Care & Support Plans, Risk assessments and other relevant review documents. 
• Proficient IT Skills in Microsoft Office
• Willing to complete a DBS check at employment stage
• Live within a commutable distance to Milton Keynes
