Learning Support Assistant (LSA) required Full time

Basingstoke area of Hampshire

The Role:

The school in Basingstoke is looking to hire a full time Learning Support Assistant to help pupils to raise attainment across the curriculum. You would be required to work with both KS3 and KS4 students in a variety of roles including helping pupils to raise attainment, working with students with SEN, poor behaviour and those with social, emotional, mental health issues and learning difficulties. The school have high standards and expect you to uphold these and help to instil these same values and ideologies into the pupils in your care. The ideal Teaching Assistant would be:

* Passionate about working with children
* A confident educator with the drive to improve both their own abilities and the abilities of their peers
* The ability to commit to what could become a permanent position

The School

The school has been rated Good by Ofsted at its most recent inspection and the inspector said in his report “You have a very clear vision for the school and are confident that the school will build on its strengths as it continues on its journey to outstanding.” The pupils are excellent students and show respect for their peers and teachers, the building and facilities are excellent and you will find the support required to grow and flourish here into an outstanding teaching assistant.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
