A large Primary school in the Plymouth area are currently looking for a flexible, experienced and confident PPA teacher to join their team. Your role as a PPA teacher will involve:

- Planning and preparing lessons in accordance with the schools published curriculum plan

- Covering PPA for teaching staff in Key Stage 2 with the particular focus on English & Maths

- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development progress and attainment of pupils

- To liaise and communicate with colleagues to ensure that lessons are appropriately planned and delivered

- Maintain the positive ethos of the school both inside and outside of the classroom

- To release colleagues & perform all the duties and tasks expected of a class teacher during PPA time

Classrooms are full with between 20-30 students, and all teachers have a full time classroom assistant to ensure that the learning environment is appropriately challenging for all students. Pupil progress and achievement is a priority for the school and are looking to appoint a suitably motivated and professional teacher.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of �44, plus an annual subscription fee of �13 for the Update Service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
