WEB DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER Hours: Full Time Contract: Fixed Term for 9 months Location: Hoddesdon Salary: £60,000 pro rata per annum Our Client: Our Client is the market leading library and educational resource company based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. Using their extensive experience, they work efficiently with a wide range of professionals around the world to offer their customers the highest quality products and services. The Role: A great opportunity has arisen for a Web Development Project Manager to join part of our client's friendly team on a full-time basis for 9 months. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Establishes Web project scope by studying strategic business drivers; discovering and validating business and technical requirements and parameters; obtaining input from subject-matter experts; examining and recommending changes to current business practices; developing and writing proposals. Develops Web solution by formulating objectives; planning project life-cycle deliverables and resource availability and application; preparing installation and modification specifications; leading the exploration, evaluation, and design of technical solutions. Implements Web solution by monitoring project progress; tracking action items; conducting design and implementation reviews; examining, researching, and resolving issues; escalating issues to appropriate authority; responding to team members' concerns; coordinating requirements with interested departments. Assures quality Web solution by developing and completing test plans; maintaining project and technical documentation. Accomplishes work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching employees; following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements. Planning across all stages of the project lifecycle and obtaining appropriate levels of sign-off Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Develop a detailed project plan to track progress Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques Manage the relationship key stakeholders Perform risk management to minimize project risks Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Reporting progress at agreed intervals to the Project Review Board Engaging and communicating effectively with key business and client stakeholders Provision of accurate project and financial status updates Identifying potential improvements Competencies: Manage full-cycle implementation projects from planning and conception to implementation, testing and Go-Live/Support phase Proven track record of delivering complex business software implementations to c500 users including remote workforce Minimum 7 years' project management experience Minimum 5 years' web site development / implementation experience Minimum 3 years' Magento e-commerce experience PRINCE II Practitioner Demonstrate effective and productive stakeholder management both internally at all levels and with 3rd parties Must be able to lead, motivate and manage cross functional, multi-disciplined teams Builds productive relationships with functions and third parties outside of the project team Apply a flexible approach to successfully deliver to tight deadlines or changing scope Ability to prioritise and multi task in a challenging working environment with excellent organisational skills Strong influencing skills and an ability to apply an appropriate level of challenge A professional approach and manner with an aptitude to learn A team player - contributor - takes pride in helping the team to deliver Proficient in MS Office applications including but not limited to, MS Project, VISO
