A specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision based in Eastleigh is seeking a specialist behaviour Teaching Assistant to start in September 2018. The school caters specifically to children and young adults at Key Stages 3 - 4.

Traditionally successful candidates in these positions generally are enthusiastic, outgoing, strong-minded and resilient. These characteristics are requirements as pupils attending this Pupil Referral Unit have either been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream schooling. This environment will be extremely challenging and will require a confident individual who has the ability to manage individuals demonstrating challenging behaviour.

Successful candidates must have:

* Previous experience working with challenging behaviour (career/personal)
* Team Teach
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (A-C)
* Up-to-date DBS or be willing to apply for one

Standard pay rates will apply; with candidates working between 8:30am and 3:30pm. Successful candidates will earn between �54.00 - �65.00 per day dependant on experience and qualifications.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
