A school in the Blackburn area have approached Teaching Personnel to help with the recruitment of Teaching Assistants. There have been a number of positions become available for candidates with a keen interest in starting a career in education.

Schools have requested candidates with an outgoing and enthusiastic personality. The School in the Blackburn area are looking for candidates who would be comfortable working with pupils in small groups to help close gaps and support learning in the classroom. The role will also include working closely with teachers to help develop effective learning plans for pupils requiring targeted support.

A suitable candidate for this role would be outgoing, hardworking, resilient and enthusiastic about making a difference to pupils’ education. To be considered a candidate should have experience working with children, be enthusiastic about working in a secondary school and be educated to degree level (desirable not essential). A candidate which was successful would benefit from the following:

* A wide variety of experience in a secondary school
* Easily accessible locations and good transport links (M65)
* Starting daily rate of �54.00, potential for negotiation depending on experience and role

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
