The Company:
We are working with a National Building Contractor who are growing at 15-20% pa on the back of a great reputation gained for completing a variety of new build, refurbishment and fit-out contracts for a varied private sector client base on schemes typically valued to £20 Million on time and to budget.
They are privately owned, profitable and are active in a number of market sectors including; retail, leisure, residential, commercial and industrial.
This a new role recently identified and is key to their strategy moving forwards.

The Role:
As the company has grown they now need to expand their supply chain to be able to effectively service their clients. Their relationships with their subcontractors and suppliers is crucial to their ongoing success and they would now like to recruit an experienced procurement professional who can lead the function, manage the small buying team and ensure that as a business they are negotiating favourable terms and conditions with their suppliers.
Managing your own diary you will ordinarily be office based in the NW of England but will be required to visit sites, suppliers etc. across the UK.

General responsibilities will include the following;
- Research and contact new suppliers initiating business relationships and partnerships
- Negotiate new contracts including rebates
- Have overall control for ordering goods and services
- Build an environment that seeks continuous improvement
- Risk management
- Initiate spending controls where required
- Work closely with other departments putting in place robust processes and procedures that aid rather than hinder the construction business

They would like to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager with a demonstrable track record of working in a similar role for a similar organisation.
You'll need to be IT Literate and be able to interpret and analyse complex data.
You will need a Full UK Driving Licence and be geographically mobile.
