Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a large, reputable Primary School located in the heart of Ealing.

About The Role:

This is a full-time position to begin immediately after the Easter Holidays. This role entails providing one-to-one support to a non-verbal autistic pupil who is in year 4 but working at a year 1 level. You will be responsible for:

- Tailoring class activities to support the needs of the pupil

- Deliver one-to-one interventions on core subjects

- Work closely with outside organizations such as speech and language therapists and occupational therapists

- Monitor and track pupil progress and provide feedback to parent and colleagues

- Encourage appropriate social interaction amongst peers and staff

This is a lovely four form entry Primary school that prides itself on being a centre of excellence and providing its pupils with the best teaching standards. It is an outstanding primary school and there is a very supportive team in place and additional training is provided throughout your time at the school.

Ideal Candidate:

- At least 1 year experience supporting children with Autism

- Makaton and PECs Trained would be ideal but not essential

- Patient, personable and caring

- Strong command of the English language

- Able to provide 2x references when requested

- Hold a valid DBS that is registered on the update service or willing to complete an application immediately

- Keen to develop a career within Education

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
