Secondary school DT teacher required – Resistant Materials & Product Design.

A school in Northampton are looking to recruit a dedicated Design Technology teacher to join the department on a full time basis in September 2018. The school regards itself as a specialist performing arts centre; focusing on innovative curriculum and desiring to drive success in all areas for their students. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Resistant Materials and Product Design. All candidates must be fully qualified to PGCE level or a recognised equivalent, as well as having experience teaching Design Technology to both KS3 and KS4.

The ideal candidate will also:

* Have extensive knowledge in both Resistant Materials & Product Design
* Be dedicated to planning and delivering lessons in an innovate and engaging way
* Achieve results and drive progress among students and within the department
* Show excellent communication skills in the classroom
* Have outstanding organisation skills needed to plan, prepare and execute diverse lessons
* Bring a sense of creativity to the role and also match the school’s forward thinking ethos

All candidates must provide two references as well as a Current Child Workforce DBS registered with the DBS Update Service. Teaching personnel will also provide ongoing support and personalised guidance to the candidates throughout.
