The Property Ombudsman provides a free, impartial and independent service, helping to resolve disputes between Consumers and Property Agents. It is the largest Ombudsman scheme in the sector and the only one to operate Codes of Practice to raise standards and share best practice in the industry. It is a not-for-profit organisation and has been providing a free and impartial dispute resolution service for more than 27 years.

The Role

The key purpose of the Operations Assistant role is to assist the Operations Manager and Director of Operations in maintaining a smooth running and well organised office.

In order to achieve this, the main duties include: providing administrative support to the Operations Management Team for all key areas of their responsibility as well as the Senior Management Team as and when requested, maintaining the Memorised Contacts within Respond and updating associated complaint records, assisting the Director of Operations in responding to Subject Access Requests and preparation of management information, assisting the Operations Manager in managing the progression of Service Complaints and maintaining a log, as and when required to deal with Website and intranet administration and act as first point of contact with website hosting firm, Document control, providing cover for Case Management and also the Office Co-ordinator as and when requested, providing IT support for Sugar Word Plug-in and Sugar Outlook Plug-in and completing of specialised computer tasks as required, helping with the maintenance of the TPO Process Maps, manuals and tick sheets, assisting with office/desk moves and any other duties relevant to the role as required.

The Candidate
To be considered for the Operations Assistant position, you will have the following education, skills and attributes:

* Good general education to include English and Maths GCSE Grade 5 or above (or equivalent qualification)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Products
* Ability to use initiative
* Ability to work independently, but also be a team player and have the ability to multitask
* Able to work as part of a team
* Willing to work flexibly and perform a variety of tasks

It would be great if you also have:

* Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
* Previous relevant experience
