Teaching Personnel are looking for a tutor to work as a positive role model for a female student in the Cannock area (WS11 postcode) of Staffordshire, from September 2018. The pupil is 11 years old and is not currently in an educational provision. Therefore she requires 9 hours of tutoring (flexible working hours) per week.

The student requires someone who can deliver English, Maths and Science as well as being able to engage her and prepare her for entering back into full time education at a later date. In particular, the student is at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation and she has been known to make false allegations. She has previously had missing episodes and had 2:1 support at primary school. She attended a Nottingham based secondary school for the first half of Y7 and was placed on a reduced timetable, due to behaviour concerns.

The ideal candidate for this role will be:

* A Teacher with either QTS or PTLLS/DTLLS qualifications, OR a TA with experience planning and delivering lessons independently.
* A candidate with experience working with students who present as extremely vulnerable and anxious
* Confident to work on a 1:1 basis with students who may be very disengaged and may present with challenging behaviour
* Experienced working with pupils who present with attachment disorder and those who have experienced significant trauma
* Able to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that progress is tracked on a regular basis
* Someone who can act as a positive role model to help the student re-engage with her education.
* Someone who is able to boost self-esteem as well as help students to make academic progress
* Able to complete a weekly feedback report to monitor the progress and developments of each pupil

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
