What does the role involve?
• Develops a strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting assumption and recommending objectives
• Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements and allocating resources with progress review
• Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff
• Promote and monitor the quality of service among staff through training and by acting as a positive role model
• Ensure that Group policy and procedures are communicated in a timely manner and adhered to accordingly
• Ensure that the supermarkets comply with all the labour laws of the country
• Responsible for quality control for the services
• Designs, manages and executes policies to deliver business strategy
• Creates and prioritizes necessary resources and steps required to accomplish goals on time

Applicant Requirements
• Minimum of ten years of retail supermarket management experience, managing a chain of supermarket.
• Experience with operating, capital and cash budgeting
• Supervisory experience of managers and others with hiring, training, evaluating, compensation and firing
• Working knowledge of store point of sales systems and computer literacy
• Respect and support for the process of working with a Board of Directors
• Ability to handle multiple demands and make tough decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Sense of urgency
• Commitment to retail values and principles
