Are you a skilled Control Software Engineer looking for the next step in your career? Do you have experience with control algorithms and system integration within the automotive industry?

In this role you’ll be responsible for the implementation and validation of control systems based on the requirements of a broad range of clients for a variety of automotive products. This growing department are looking to increase their design capabilities with the addition of a control software development function. The role requires a capable and experienced control software engineer who is driven and committed to delivering the best possible solutions to potentially complex requirements.

The day to day duties for the Senior Control Software Engineer position include:
• Analysing customers control system requirements using modelling and simulation packages
• Validation and implementation of control algorithms and system integration on vehicle control units
• Delivering projects to agreed deadlines
• Self-management of time and progress and providing regular feedback
• Working with project managers to estimate timescales for projects and tasks

My client is a well-established design and manufacturing business who create solutions and products for some of the most well-known and exciting automotive companies in the world. This opportunity would offer the chance to be a leader in their control software department and would involve working on exciting new products and solutions.

The Successful Senior Control Software Engineer would have:
• Substantial Embedded C programming experience and knowledge
• Experience with modelling and simulation packages such as Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow
• Knowledge of safety critical development processes and standards such as ISO26262 and MISRA C
• Experience of the full lifecycle of software development
• A good understanding of control theory and ability to apply this knowledge to real world applications
• A good appreciation of electronic and mechanical engineering

Skills/experience of interest include:
• Previous experience with AUTOSAR
• Experience with automotive communication over CAN and Flexray
