Are you looking for a full time, long term SEN teaching assistant position?

Would you like to work in an Ofsted rated 'outstanding’ SEN school?

Are you able to start work in South Croydon immediately after the Easter holidays?

I would like to hear from you if the answer to these questions is yes! I am working with a large primary school that caters for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, including moderate to severe autism. They are looking to recruit a dedicated and proactive learning support assistant, who is passionate about working children with SEN.

It would be beneficial if you have experience of working with children who have severe special needs, particularly if you have experience of using hoist equipment or moving and handling training. I would also welcome an application from you if you have experience working in the care sector, as providing personal care for students with complex needs is going to be an integral part of this job.

The position available is to work in a key stage 3 class comprising 9 students, supporting the class teacher and working collaboratively with 3 other teaching assistants who will be in the room with you.

Relevant training in Makaton, PECS, moving and handling, first aid or safeguarding is desirable. Once registered with Teaching Personnel you will be eligible to book yourself onto any of the training courses that we offer, which will either be free or at a reduced cost.

To find out more about this role, or to apply for it, contact Louise in the London Bridge office using the details provided.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken an enhanced CHILD WORKFORCE only DBS, or be willing to apply for a new one as soon as possible.
