Teacher of Science- Knutsford

Teaching Personnel have just been approached by a large secondary school to recruit for a Teacher of Science ahead of the new academic year. This full-time position represents an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Science to join an Ofsted graded GOOD school with a possibility of a fixed term contact after the initial supply period.

* Teaching all Sciences to Key Stages 3 & 4
* Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (�22,917- �38,633)

* School located in Knutsford with excellent transport links to the surrounding areas of Cheshire and Manchester via the nearby motorways.

As a result of a gap arising late for the Science department, the Head teacher of this reputable school wishes to appoint a Teacher of Science initially on a temporary basis. Dependant upon effectiveness within the role, a fixed-term/permanent contract may be offered after the initial supply period (expected to be one term).

The incoming Teacher of Science will join a large Science department consisting of 7 specialists. You will have access to modern teaching facilities and superb Science laboratories which allow for engaging and innovative lessons to take place. The school offer both the Double and Triple Science award at KS4 which yielded results significantly above the national average in the school’s 2017 GCSE results.

The school is larger than the average size secondary school as it currently caters for over 1,200 pupils. The large percentage of pupils who attend the school are from White British backgrounds. It is located in Knutsford close to the M6 motorway. This makes it a short drive away from the surrounding areas of Wilmslow, Macclesfield and Warrington.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
