"Are you an expert in LEAN Principles, looking to join a forward-thinking business that embraces value engineering and technology, with the opportunity to work on one of the most prestigious Infrastructure projects in the UK? .... If so this could be the role for you!"

The Company

This exciting role is based with a leading main contractor with a turn over rapidly approaching 3billion. They operate with three distinct business areas Housebuilding, Regeneration, and Construction & Investments (Infrastructure & Construction). Their infrastructure department is made up of several business units including Highways, Rail & Aviation, Water & Waste, Environment, and Power & Security. This project falls within their Highways division and will see you play a critical part on a long term multimillion Highways scheme in Northamptonshire. This project is being used as a flag ship for pioneering new technologies and efficiencies, of which LEAN will form a critical part!

The Role

The principles of LEAN will be critical to achieving the ambitious but achievable efficiencies on this high value, long term project and as the LEAN Practitioner you will drive this throughout the project lifecycle. Communication is key, as you will be advising, mentoring, training and implementing innovations with a range of individuals throughout; Engineering, Planning, Bidding and technology departments. Remember, this may be 'alien' to some, so it is vital that you can sell the benefits of LEAN principles and the positive effect they can have on the project experience. You will work within a busy Technical Assurance department, driving continuous improvement internally and also through the supply chain to ensure consistency throughout the scheme.

Required Experience

You will come from a strong background of practicing LEAN, either post graduate or from a sideways move from an Operational role, having developed a passion! A Yellow belt six sigma qualification is a must, to ensure the depth of knowledge is there and an Engineering knowledge or qualification is also beneficial. You may be already from a Civil Engineering background and be looking to move to a company that is pioneering this practice more aggressively, or you could be carrying out a similar role in Construction (Building) or Engineering. Either way I want to hear from you!

The Package

This role offers a salary range of 35,000 - 40,000 depending on the depth of experience associated with the above. Other great benefits include a Car or Car allowance, a very generous holiday entitlement, and various other flexible benefits. Most importantly this role offers excellent career prospects and personal development!
