We have a fantastic role for a Sales Office Manager at our wonderful venue in Abingdon, Milton Hill. Working closely with the General Manager to ensure the financial targets of the venue are produced and make recommendations where necessary.

As Sales Office Manager you will oversee and supervise the sales team including both M&E and room reservations within Milton Hill House to ensure the potential of the venue is maximised and monthly budget achieved.
Main responsibilities
To set the rate strategy for M&E and Rooms in accordance with the venue’s budget expectations.
To recruit, train and develop new sales team members.
To ensure the sales team are consistently supplying the highest possible levels of customer care and service in the lead up and during the events process.
To positively approach all sales opportunities in order to maximise sales and revenue by yielding the business in order to achieve the venue’s sales plan.
To ensure that all sales disciplines and procedures are trained and followed in order to develop the business.
To support the sales team where needed to respond to any customer enquiry within the guidelines set by the hotel.
To exercise efficient diary management in order to manage the yield within the conference office.
Develop and maintain sales information through KX, following the Company guidelines.
To produce statistical information as required including weekly forecasting, cancelled, denied or refused business.
To attend any communication/ operational meetings where appropriate to represent the sales department.
To help host events during busy seasonal times where required.
To oversee the event invoicing process, ensuring all conference bills are produced correctly and in a timely manner.
To support the Director Of Sales with new business leads and supporting client events where necessary.
To ensure the Sales Team are fully engaged with the customers and are building and maintaining relationships with key accounts.
To be aware of the services and facilities offered by the competitor hotels in order to promote your hotel to its full potential.
To comply with all health and safety legislation and actively get involved with reporting issues and training others.
To ensure the sales team are trained appropriately to understand the health and safety requirements needed for certain event types.
To be fully aware of the Accident & Maintenance and Fire safety procedures for your department and the wider venue.
To support the wider Operations Team where necessary and attend Head of Department meetings.
To ensure all 3rd party websites are displaying the correct business details and rates.
