Our client is a modern, dynamic and growing company providing specialist drainage inspection, maintenance and repair services to public and private sector clients.

With the company going from strength to strength, they are looking to expand their sales team based in Rayleigh, Essex and bring in an experienced Business Development Manager. The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do profitable business with the company.

Daily Duties:
- Reach targets and goals set by the Business Development Director
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Regular sales forecasting to support business cash flow projections
- Reporting activities and results to the Business Development Director
- Proactive use of company sales systems
- Support the Business Development Director in the design and delivery of account and capture plans for key existing and prospective customers.
- Present, promote and sell services to existing and prospective customers
- Work with the sales team to develop and implement campaigns to support sales strategies

Essential Criteria:
- Technical Experience & knowledge of Drainage
- Proven success in Business Development positions
- Commercial Experience beneficial but not essential
- Experience of reporting sales
- Experience of producing proposals and quotes for potential clients
- Project delivery experience
- Strong negotiation skills
