About the Transport Supervisor:

To support Senior Logistics Supervisor and provide professional supervision / administrative support to the overall operation in relation to the effective co-ordination of all transport related activities.

Based at their Head Office, the Transport Supervisor will provide support for the overall dustcart team, KPIs and development of the systems, account reconciliation, expected customer liaison, driver liaison, waste coordination, and management reporting.

Responsibilities of the Transport Supervisor:

* Completion and adherence of all elements of the daily work standard sheets in accordance with the company's service operating procedures.
* Oversee routes for drivers in conjunction with commercial expectations, ensuring efficient route density provisions, customer service collections and KPI targets are attained.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety and welfare regulations and policies.
* Support and manage the process of driver hours, accident reporting, vehicle maintenance and servicing. Ensure all vehicle accidents are accurately recorded and investigated.
* Ensure maximum availability of fleet for operational use.
* Supervisory management of all day to day employment relations.
* Supervisory responsibility of site admin activities, ensuring de-briefs are completed, system records are maintained and service collections are recorded in line with billing and contract requirements.
* PDA management, ensuring all PDA's are used effectively and data is downloaded accurately and efficiently.
* Query resolution in respect to customer service issues, in conjunction with the service administrators, via Purgo involving the rescheduling of collections or additional adhoc services, resolution of issues and overall case closure in a timely manner in accordance with KPI targets.
* Facilitate team meetings/group discussions.
* Monitor productivity and report on trends and identify changes of improvement.
* Close liaison with the commercial team on a weekly basis to understand potential sales and impact on operational provisions in order to maximise route density and ensure the smooth integration of new services.
* Close liaison with H&S Team in respect to incidents, hazards or issues. Incident/Accident and RIDDOR reporting in line with company procedures.
* Adopt a "lean thinking" approach, identify and implement initiatives to support continuous improvement which gives value to the customer and company.
