Job description

The Role

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated, patient and conscientious teachers are passionate to work with pupils with moderate to complex learning difficulties, behavioural problems or sensory issues. There is some flexibility in terms of the subjects you will deliver however the ability to teach Core subjects is essential as a basic requirement. Oher subjects that would be considered favourable would be PE, Dance, Basic Skills, PSHE, but other subjects are not to be considered an impediment to applying.

Experience of working with students with complex needs is essential; you may be required to work in a class with children dealing with a range of difficulties. Due to the direct nature of your work with pupils, previous experience working in an SEN environment is essential and within a specialist SEN school ideally. You may also be interested in a role working with pupils who are unable to integrate into mainstream learning due either to behavioural exclusion or health problems. This may involve working in a challenging behavioural setting and pupils with SEMH conditions

The school caters for students aged 4-18 and any age group specialisms can be considered when applying.
