Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator for our Liquid Waste team in Taunton, working 45 hours a week, 5 days out of 7.

Logistics Coordinator Role:

Joining our team, the Logistics Coordinator will supervise the Logistic team activities within Liquid Waste and ensure that Viridor Liquid Waste complies with all legislative, statutory and company requirements. Duties include:

- Plan and control the team operations ensuring the co-operation and coordination of all required activities to maximise efficiencies and profitability.
- Allocate and control vehicles including subcontractors efficiently to meet the operational requirements and ensure that the level of resources are adequate to meet day to day requirements.
- Ensure, through constant review, a cost effective, quality service is carried out identifying opportunities for business growth.
- Be available and on call for all emergencies relevant to this role, as directed by the Logistics Unit Manager or on call rota.
- Support the Logistics Unit Manager with compilation of budgets, maximising revenue, controlling costs, forecasting and variance explanation.

Our ideal Logistics Coordinator will have:

- A proven track record of supervising a Logistic operation successfully
- Previous experience of customer experience management and strategy.
- An excellent working knowledge of the waste and recycling market
- Previous experience controlling fleet activities and managing large teams
- Ability to route vehicles effectively taking into account profit and productivity.
- Full driving license and full CPC National for road transport (or working towards) completion within 12 months of appointment)
- IOSH managing safely or equivalent.
