The company: My client is an established a Property and Business Consultancy Service who has been a key player since 1985. They have extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of property, offering a range of services from Agricultural to Valuations to Estate and Property Management to advice on Compensation and Compulsory Purchase Matters. My client is now expanding and has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Planner. My client offers flexi-working and working from home.

The Role: As Associate Planner, you will be involved in and lead on a diverse range of projects at various scales including residential, commercial, mines and minerals, working in a multi-disciplinary team of chartered planners, in-house architects, valuers and surveyors. This post offers the opportunity to join and help shape our expanding team

Essential Requirements: As Associate Planner you will have:

Have a Degree or Diploma in Town Planning,
Have a full or licentiate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute
Have a minimum of five years` relevant work experience
Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Be IT proficient and confident working with plans and maps
Be presentable, versatile and robust; inspiring confidence in your abilities
Hold a full and current driving licence and daily have the use of a car insured for business purposes.
Out of hours working may be required in order to meet business demand.

Key Skills: As Associate Planner, you will have:

A sound knowledge and application of relevant legislation, planning policy and guidance
Be organised, self-motivated, efficient and performance driven
Have established interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
Be pro-active in seeking out development opportunities
Have experience of development management, EIA and Development Plans
Be able analyse complex situations and provide reasoned practical advice
Be is commercially aware, with an ability to network and generate work on their own merit
Be a key part of our experienced and friendly Planning and Development team
