History Teacher- Stockport- Pay in line with MPS/UPS

Teaching Personnel have been approached by our partner secondary school in Stockport to recruit for a History Teacher to join them in the new academic year. This position represents an exciting opportunity for a History Teacher to join a school that enjoys an excellent reputation within the local area.

This role is to cover an upcoming planned absence within the History faculty. It is scheduled to begin from October half-term but there is a possibility of this starting sooner for the right History Teacher.

The incoming History Teacher will join a dedicated Humanities department consisting of nine specialist teachers. History is a very popular subject at the school with 40% of the pupils choosing to study it at GCSE level. Students’ learning is enhanced by educational visits such as the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds.

The school-

‘Pupils are proud that this is a school where every difference is respected’- Ofsted, 2017

Our partner school is a popular choice within the local area and is regularly over-subscribed. A large proportion of the pupils who attend are from White British backgrounds. In the school’s 2017 Ofsted report, the school was praised for how the pupils are allowed the opportunity to achieve their best possible outcomes through engaging teaching.

It is located in the Romiley area of Stockport making it easily accessible to the surrounding areas such as Bredbury, Marple and Egerton via the M60. Gee Cross, Hyde and the other areas of Tameside are only a short drive away. There are also direct bus links to the school for those requiring public transport.
