Full time Science teacher required to cover a maternity leave within the Science department from January 2019.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large RC Secondary school in Salford to recruit for a full time temporary Science teacher to join their Science department in the New Year. This position has arisen due to an upcoming maternity leave within the Science faculty and will continue until December 2019 initially.

The school are welcoming applications from both experienced and newly qualified Science teachers with a Chemistry, Biology or Physics specialism; however it is essential that the successful Science teacher has experience teaching both Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four to be considered.

* Full time Science teacher required, January 2019 start

The newly refurbished Science department consists of a team of eleven Science practitioners, and the incoming Science teacher will be fully supported by the dedicated Director of Science throughout the temporary position. It is expected that the successful Science teacher will teach a full timetable, covering both Key Stages and partake in meetings and additional CPD sessions.

The large RC Secondary school has over 1,200 pupils on roll across the site, and has been praised for ensuring all pupils meet at least their expected target within Science. Located towards the north of central Salford, the school can be reached via the M60 Motorway. For non-drivers, there are an abundance of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from neighbouring areas Leigh, Bolton and central Manchester.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
