Graduate Teaching Assistant – Rochdale

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants on a behalf of our client secondary schools ahead of the new academic year (September 2018 start).

With a number of our client secondary schools in Rochdale requiring additional teaching assistants from September, this is the ideal opportunity for any aspiring teachers to gain the essential experience to prepare you for a teacher training course in the future. Our Graduate Teaching Assistant posts are all paid roles, with successful applicants able to earn up to �1200 per month.

Successful applicants to these Graduate Teaching Assistant roles will be required on a long term temporary basis (initially one term); however it is likely that there will be extensions available for the full academic year.

* Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full and part time roles available from September 2018
* Providing additional support to secondary aged pupils (KS3 and GCSE) in a range of subjects including Maths, English and Science
* Ideal opportunity to gain further experience prior to embarking on a teacher training course in September 2019
* Schools located in Middleton, Castleton and Milnrow

*** Applicants are required to be educated to degree level and will ideally have previously experience relating to supporting the learning and development of secondary aged pupils ***

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant within one of our client schools you will hold a number of responsibilities including;

* Working in partnership with head of departments, delivering set schemes of work to pupils ranging in ability
* Offer general support to the classroom teacher
* Help prepare KS3 and GCSE pupils prepare for examinations
* Support a range of pupil varying in ability in order to help them achieve their full potential

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
