SALES MANAGER / HEAD OF SALES – STOCKHOLDER:

I’m looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join a market leading steel stockholder who specialise in copper and nickel based alloys. As part of their strategic growth, they are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to develop new business and service existing accounts.

COMMUTABLE FROM:

Bedford, Bletchley, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Wellingborough, Wolverton

THE ROLE:

As a Sales Manager you will be required to:

* Manage a small team of 4 people
* Develop new business opportunities by targeting existing customers and prospective customers
* Build long-term relationships with clients through face-to face meetings and telephone communication
* Negotiate with customers to win business and improve profit margins
* Research the market place and keep abreast of any new developments to identify new business opportunities
* Carry out presentations at sales meetings and trade exhibitions
* Help prepare, interpret and review technical quotations
* Liaise with the Operations team in order to communicate accurate lead times and schedules to customers

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Sales Manager will have:

* Proven track record selling non-ferrous alloys such as copper and nickel within a stockholding environment
* The ability to manage sales staff effectively
* Commercially astute with the ability to think strategically
* Ambition with desire to lead and grow the sales team
* Working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems
* A dynamic personality with the attitude to always do better
* The ability to work autonomously
* Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
* Degree educated (beneficial)
* Full clean driving license
