We are seeking to appoint an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager, too ensure the smooth planning and delivery of the day-to-day operation of the Restaurant within the unit to our clients and customers whilst managing the business needs and performance standards. 
Main responsibilities
Manage the performance of any direct reports.  Ensuring that every team member is given a fair objective performance review and any agreed action is effectively followed up.
Support the Staffing Team to effectively recruit, induct, train and develop the variable labour in accordance with the needs of the business.
To support the Unit Management to ensure that all location employees receive induction, hygiene, health and safety and fire training to the company standard.
Give full co-operation to any colleague requiring assistance in prompt, caring and helpful manner.
Supervises the team to ensure effective communication
Communicate openly with colleagues and attend briefing sessions as requested by your Line Manager.
Promotes a team spirit and is loyal to and supportive of the team, which includes any temporary members of staff you have dealings with.
Demonstrate & Promote good Customer Service
To ensure day-to-day delivery of catering services within the restaurant as advised to standards set within the business.
Act as Duty Manager on a rotational basis when required
Demonstrates the ability to perform all tasks consistently to adhere to the specific standard.
Demonstrates knowledge of food and beverage operations with a focus on innovation, standards and market awareness, and increase sales were possible
Ensure that the necessary audits are carried out as per company standards.
Lead by example and ensure members of the team wear the correct, full and clean uniform whilst on duty.  Actively address all issues relation to non-adherence of company standards.
Support the management in communicating, motivating and involving individuals within the team.
Demonstrate ability to identify training needs and carry out on the job training.
Demonstrate a commitment to the unit / location and ensure that the unit / location is kept secure at all times.
Assist your Line Manager to ensure effective planning and organising in all areas of administration.

Ideal candidateOur idea of an 'ideal candidate' would need to have: 

GCSE or equivalent passes in English & Maths

Catering operational experience.


Strong communication skills

Strong organisation skills


Willing to learn

Ability to deal with a wide range of people


Able to communicate at all levels

Strong leadership qualities

Self started, drive, ambition

Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines

Creative in thinking and approach
