JOB TITLE:   Compaction/Mechanical Press Setter


SALARY & BENEFITS:   Competitive and Negotiable on experience. 6% employer Pension contribution, Incentive plan based on company and individual performance.


WORKING HOURS: Permeant, Full time-Day shift, Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 17.00, Friday 08.00 – 13.00.

THE ROLE: Compaction/Mechanical Press Setter, based in Glenrothes, Fife.



Compaction Press Setter – setting up and running various dry powder presses. Ideally, with experience in setting up this type of press you should be mechanically minded with experience of tooling, great attention to detail and a proven track record of working in a high quality, high volume industry.


The Glenrothes facility in Fife has been supplying their niche markets with reliable, repeatable extreme performance ceramic components for over thirty-five years. As well as a Company Pension Contribution of 6% employees benefit from 3x salary Life Assurance cover, comprehensive sick pay scheme and access to performance based incentive plans. Shift premium are 33% for nights and 17.5% for swing shift. We are recruiting for flexible, reliable and enthusiastic candidates to join our manufacturing team


Day shift: 39 hours per week-08.00 – 17.00 Mon to Thursday and 08.00 – 13.00 on Friday


THE CANDIDATE: Compaction Press Setter - Glenrothes, Fife


Ideally you’ll have experience of a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, accuracy and reliability have been a prime focus. We will provide training on the unique aspects of machining precision ceramics


The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the desire to accept responsibility and progress their skills and knowledge in a company that strives to keep improving and requires flexibility from all employees


Key experience essential for the role:-


- Experience in Machine/Press Setter role (Mechanical/Hydraulic or powder press) essential
- Previous working experience/ working knowledge of DORST Mechanical machinery would be a distinct advantage
- Ideally experience of a fast-paced manufacturing environment, but not essential
- Ideally live within a commutable distance of Glenrothes
- Own transport desirable but not essential
