On behalf of our client school in North Manchester and alongside our Future Teachers Programme, we are currently seeking recent graduates with aspirations to become teachers in the near future.

Working through Teaching Personnel, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant is a great way of getting your foot in the door and taking your first steps into a rewarding career in the education sector, gaining further skills and knowledge through our Future Teachers Programme. This gives you the opportunity to network within secondary schools, gaining valuable experience while learning from experienced teachers, all while adding to your CV, putting you in a more ready state before enrolling on a PGCE course or similar teacher training programme.

Duties as a Graduate Teaching Assistant Include:

* Assisting in the correct preparation and planning of lessons
* Working within the classroom supporting pupils with any issues that may arise
* Assisting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
* Provide feedback to teachers, as well as parents of pupils on their progress
* Assist in the preparation and running of extracurricular activities such as revision sessions

While employed through Teaching Personnel you will be automatically enrolled onto our Future Teachers Programme a scheme developed to address the nationwide shortage of teachers, assisting schools find quality graduates as well as helping support and develop graduates into the successful teachers of tomorrow. This is a comprehensive scheme which will enable Graduate Teaching Assistants to start their teacher training programmes with an advanced skill-set and comfortability working with students of mixed ages and abilities.

Through the Future Teacher programme you will be employed on a full-time basis within the school, with full support from the school department as well as from your personal consultant from Teaching Personnel. This gives you every opportunity to further develop your skills and gain valuable experience that you can later utilize in a career as a Teacher You will perform a wide variety of roles, supporting the teaching in class as well as helping raise attainment of pupils through group work and on a 1 to 1 basis, this will also supporting special needs, covering classes, assisting with planning, preparing lessons and developing schemes of work.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
