Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit an Education and Visitor Centre Officer to join our team at Ardley ERF. This role is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Education and Visitor Centre Officer Role:

Joining our team, the Education and Visitor Centre Officer will support the delivery of the educational sessions and community programme at Ardley ERF. You will also support the wider Viridor education team at other sites. Duties include:

- Drive consistency of approach to education and community benefits across all the Viridor ERF education and visitor centres, balancing the need for each site to reflect its local community and site history.
- Embed the Business Class Strategy in order to enhance Viridor's school partnerships and support the long term recruitment strategy.
- Develop and implements education and awareness programmes and activities, meeting requirements of any Local Waste Management Contract(s), and other relevant contracts.
- Develop and implements learning programmes to support Viridor training team, commercial team and Viridor advocates in our communities.
- Builds a network with the wider education team to share best practice and consistency.

Our ideal Education and Visitor Centre Officer will have:

- Experience of working in a visitor centre in the waste/resource sector from start-up to full operation
- Experience of delivering education programmes at formal and informal levels
- Experience of working with public groups from diverse backgrounds including school students, the wider public and other stakeholders.
- Experience of public relations and communications Excellent communicator, credible and able to influence at all levels.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety and equality requirements for public visits and operational sites
- Educated to a high level of education (preferably to degree level or similar), with relevant qualifications.
- A current valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
