Science Teacher- Catholic secondary school- Pay in line with MPS/UPS

Due to an upcoming planned absence within the Science department, Teaching Personnel are seeking a Science Teacher on behalf of our partner Catholic secondary school in Tameside. This Science Teacher position is scheduled to start after October half-term for a minimum of two terms. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for a Science Teacher to work in school with an outstanding reputation:

Specific job duties:

-Teaching Science to Key Stages 3 & 4.

-To develop Science lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum models.

-To maintain order and discipline among students whilst promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines.

- To promote and be sensitive to the Catholic ethos of the school.

Our partner secondary school is slightly smaller than the average size secondary school with just under 900 pupils on roll. The vast majority of pupils who attend the school are from White British heritage. The number of pupils eligible for the Pupil Premium funding and those who speak English as an Additional Language are lower than the national average.

It is located close to the M60 motorway offering excellent accessibility to the surrounding areas of Stockport, Oldham and East Manchester. There are also direct bus links to the school from the nearby towns and Manchester city centre.
