If so, Teaching Personnel could have the ideal positions for you in and around the Scarborough area! We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a Client School in Scarborough, who offer education to students unable to attend a Mainstream School. Each class has up to 4 students in, with varying additional needs from MLD, ASC, ADHD to SEMH. You will therefore be required to offer additional support to pupils on a 1:1 basis as and when required. Previous experience working with SEN is advantageous but not essential as the School are keen to help those looking to begin a career within education.

The successful Teaching Assistant should have:

* Experience working within the education or care sector
* Availability 5 days a week Monday to Friday between 0830 and 1530 daily
* A Child Only Enhanced DBS Certificate registered with the Update Service, or one applied for through Teaching Personnel
* An outgoing, charismatic and enthusiastic personality, to allow you to engage with unmotivated pupils
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent such as a Degree in Psychology or Special Needs and Inclusion
* A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be an advantage, or easy access to public transport
* Direct experience working as a Teaching Assistant or other educational based role

* Pay: �9 per hour
* Contract: Temporary with permanent positions for excellent Teaching Assistants

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
