Teaching Personnel are excited to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest to begin in September 2018. The school are looking for someone to provide support to two children in Year 4 – one child has Autism, whilst the other has learning difficulties. Both children are quiet and well behaved. The role will be on a part-time basis (afternoons only, 5 days a week) and, provided you get on well with the children, will run for the full academic year with the potential to become a permanent member of staff. The school are ideally seeking an individual with an outgoing yet calm persona, who is an effective communicator.

This small Primary school has a friendly, community feel and easily accessible via public transport – the nearest station is Blackkhorse Road Station, which is on the Victoria and Overground lines. The latest OFSTED report found the school to be ‘Good’ with “Staff…continually striving to improve their performance and are sharply focused on the progress of each pupil. Leaders have a very detailed understanding of the school’s strengths and a clear vision for its development…Pupils from all groups make very strong progress across the school in all subjects. This includes pupils supported through the pupil premium and those receiving special educational needs (SEN) support”.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
