My client, a manufacturing organisation is seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Ledger Assistant / Credit Controller to join their team due to a recent staff reorganisation.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the main duties of the role will include -

- Raise sales invoices and credit notes.
- Credit control - responsibility for all dunning processes to collect monies from customers.
- Respond to and resolve customer queries in a timely manner.
- Responsibility for Sales Ledger accounts ensuring they are fully reconciled, well maintained and any issues are communicated to the Finance Manager.
- Liaise with other Business Units to ensure effective Sales Ledger control.
- Cash allocation.
- Control credit limits, ensuring all customer terms are appropriate and authorised.
- Provide weekly aged debt reporting.
- Bank cheques.
- Adhoc responsibilities including some payroll cover.

Essential requirements of the role -

- Previous Sales Ledger experience
- Able to work to deadlines, with good time management and organisational skills
- Self-motivated
- Good communication skills
- Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships
- Flexible approach and willing to work additional hours when the job requires
- Computer literate (Microsoft packages)
- Attention to detail
