Your Responsibilities

Develop hardware architecture design taking into account all relevant technological, manufacturing and economic factors

Analyze system requirements for customers or internal reference implements, and derive related hardware requirements therefrom

Participate in function definition and implementation of functional safety requirements (up to ASILD)

Execute hardware design reviews and documentation

Select and assess components for series production, considering cost and quality requirements

Schematic and layout design review

Participate in EMC and product validation, support test specification setup based on customer, legal and internal requirements. Assists in maintaining knowledgebase for testing artifacts for assigned application(s) by doing gap analysis after each release.

Enter defects into the defect tracking tool and support cross-functional team with defect analysis and debug activities

Working together with other stakeholders and teams to improve system performance

Check for compliance of software towards ASIL requirements and be responsible for improving test coverage and metrics

Present status of test execution to project manager and senior management


Bachelor/Master’s degree in electronic engineering, mechatronics or similar field

Solid experience in hardware development (both digital and analog)

Several years of working experience in the automotive industry

Proven track record of high-speed design covering SoC, MCU, high speed peripherals, power supply, etc.

Good skill in mentor xDX or other popular EDA tools for schematic and layout design

Good knowledge in power and signal integrity

ADAS project experience and experience in functional Safety (ISO 26262) is desired

Skills in DOORS requirement management

Good MS office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio)

PSPICE and EMC knowledge are desirable

Embedded software experience is a plus

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work well in an internationally distributed team environment

Fluent English, German is a plus
