About the school

Our client school is located in Heckmondwike and they are currently looking for a Year 6 teacher to join their exceptional team from September 2018. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' Primary School in Heckmondwike that has plans to expand their pupil intake in upcoming years. This school is multicultural with a diversity of EAL students. The school has a large playing field, a multi-use games area and playground space. Also, the school is equipped with up to date ICT facilities such as computers, laptops and iPads and prioritise ICT as a subject of importance for their students.

About the role

The role entails helping children to achieve early learning goals by organising learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources. Also, you will be supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication and encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play. You will be providing pastoral care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment to learn.

* Is passionate about enabling every child to fulfil his/her potential
* Has proven excellent classroom practice and class management skills
* Recognises and values the diverse social and cultural needs of our children and community
* Fully qualified teacher or newly qualified teacher status
* Sound knowledge of the national curriculum
* At least 1 years experience teaching in a Primary School
* Have a valid DBS registered on the update service or be willing to complete an application immediately
* Excellent communication skills
* Can commute to Heckmondwike
