The Company:
We are working with a North West based Regional Building Contractor who have a long and successful history of trading in the region.
They have an excellent track record for completing projects valued to £30 Million on time and to budget and enjoy a good proportion of repeat business. They like to do things right first time and regularly pick up significant Industry accolades for the way they conduct their business and have a great reputation for the way they treat and develop their team.
They secure work through key North West procurement frameworks, work with private sector developers and carry out their own developments too.
They are adding to their NW region's commercial team due to increasing workload in the region.

The Role:
The role is office based with site visits - you would typically oversee the financial performance of 1 large (£15-25 Million) or 2-3 smaller value projects with involvement starting during pre-construction right through to settlement with projects based within easy reach of their Greater Manchester office.
General responsibilities will include the following;
Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on the designated projects in accordance with the company procedures and processes - highlighting potential contractual issues.
Ensuring sound financial performance including profitability, cash flow, and managing risks and opportunities.
Preparation of accurate and detailed cost reports for review with the Managing QS.
Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecasting final account.
Appointment of Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures, including procurement and account management including valuations, payment notices and agreement of final accounts.
To work closely with operations, procurement and technical teams monitoring project costs.
Ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed in accordance with the specific Contract requirements and Company Procedures.
Maintain close working relationship with the client and their representatives to assist in the success of the project.

They would like to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a good track record of working in a similar role for a building contractor.
They would also welcome applications from Quantity Surveyors looking for the opportunity to progress in to this role.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
You will be IT literate and have an excellent knowledge of JCT contracts.
