Maintenance Engineer (Banbury)

Shifts - 4 on 4 off days and nights.

Salary - �42k + generous overtime

The Company

Our client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer and they are one of the UK's largest bakers in the country. Still family owned, the company originally was established over 150 years ago. They have the capability to produce over 100,000 buns and muffins an hour as they have some of the most state of the art machinery within the industry.

The company have enjoyed a sustained period of growth, even through the recession, and are continuing to grow even now. They are truly the market leader within their field head and shoulder about their competitors with 80% of the market.

Role

Each Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing both diagnostic fault finding and repair on all production equipment on site. Candidates must be able to fault find on all affiliated electrical systems using a multimeter against electrical drawings.

All lines are fully automated and controlled by Siemens S7. The Maintenance Engineer would not need to hook in with a laptop and fault find on the ladder controls, but would need to be able to check inputs and outputs.

When not performing reactive maintenance, the Maintenance Engineer would be tasked with working from the Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule. Every Wednesday production is halted so as to enable all the engineers on shift to concentrate solely on the PPM schedule.

Training & Development

The Business are incredibly proactive with training and development of their Engineers, with a Training School based in their London Office and a deal with a local college to gain recognised qualifications. All Engineers will receive Siemens S7 training, Working at Heights, MiG and TiG Welding, Supplier equipment Training.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

* Must have previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer.
* Must hold a recognised electrical qualification.

Thanks to their excellent Training & Development Program, the business are able to take on Engineers without prior Food experience. They are not only keen to speak to Maintenance Engineers who have come from other industries, but also candidate who have recently left the Armed Forces that have an Engineering specialty.
