My client school in Blackpool are seeking a TA with experience in supporting children with SEMH and behavioural needs. The role is supporting a child in KS3 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and the successful applicant will be expected to support them in the classroom environment and on a 1:1 basis.

The school is a larger than average school with over 1,000 pupils on role. There may be some occasions where the successful applicant will be asked to step into the role of a Cover Supervisor and cover lessons across the curriculum in the absence of Teachers in school, therefore you must be confident managing a classroom of approx. 25 students.

The school are specifically looking for someone bright, engaging and proactive with a warming personality who can adapt quickly to the needs of the pupil requiring additional support and can fit in well with the staff in the Learning Support Department. You must be proactive and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.

You MUST have experience in a secondary school or supporting children with behavioural needs.

The role will be 5 days per week, full-time, and you must be fully available for continuity purposes.

I will need to hear from you ASAP if you wish to be considered!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
