Payroll Team Leader - Maternity Cover

A talented Payroll Team Leader is needed to join a wonderful payroll team for a global Ecommerce Retailer based in Liverpool. You will join on a 9-12 month FTC maternity cover, responsible for supervising the payroll team to ensure the delivery of an excellent, efficient and cost-effective Payroll service to all staff based in Liverpool.

Continuing to experience exciting levels of growth, they are now seeking a Payroll Team Leader to take the lead in the training, development and supervision of a fantastic team.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, Payroll Team Leader will be responsible for supervision of the Payroll team. Whether you are ensuring performance review meetings are held regularly; monitoring and ensuring the payroll team`s input is checked, processed and authorised within required timescales and to high standards of accuracy or helping to drive forward the performance and strategy of the payroll function it will be your superb management skills that ensures this key function runs like clockwork.

To qualify- ´┐Ż You should be a Payroll Team Leader, Payroll Manager, Account Payable / Finance Admin Manager / Accounts Coordinator / Accounts Team Leader or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

- You have supervisory experience within a Payroll environment;
- A sound knowledge of the Data Protection Act;
- A good understanding of HMRC rules and legislation surrounding, PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP and Pensions auto enrolment;
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, Word, Excel;
- Great experience of Payroll systems and time and attendance systems;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- The ability to work under pressure and be flexible and to meet deadlines;
- You are self-organised with excellent motivation skills;
- You are an excellent team player and team leader.

A working knowledge of iTrent is ideal but not essential.
