What we need:
Carrington West are looking to recruit a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Data Management Technician to work alongside the Schemes and Cyclical delivery teams at one of our busy clients based in Hampshire.
What the job is for:
Your role as a GIS & Data Technician will mean responsibility for managing modelling surveys and scan data. You will work with the Scheme and Cyclical Maintenance teams and the Clients Asset Management team, to provide information for reuse by all parties in the design, construction and operation phases of a contract.

What you will need to succeed:
As a successful candidate you will have excellent communications & organisational skills both written and verbal, with the ability to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
You will provide support and co-ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from Design through to Construction and Operations and Maintenance. Technical work streams may include but are not limited to; all engineering disciplines, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, engineering surveying, asset management and industrialisation.

You will work closely with the Infrastructure Services Digital Engineering (IS DE) Team and the projects teams to understand the needs of the business and customers and will keep abreast of the latest tools and techniques available in the market to ensure the strategy is market leading and deliverable. You will be responsible for supporting the BIM & DE Strategy for IS which makes us work smarter, enhancing performance on both current and future contracts by adding value for ourselves and our clients.

Key Accountabilities

* Delivering the services in line with the contract requirements and to the satisfaction of the client and their customers;
* Promote the development of an Injury Free Environment safety culture within the Area and support the wider culture development across Hampshire Highways;
* Developing a positive working relationship with the client;
* Monthly liaison with the client on area performance through collaborative meeting arrangements;
* Represent Skanska at client meetings as required;
* Agree, set and monitor performance objectives in terms of time, cost, safety, quality programme;
* Provide training, development and encouragement to staff and operatives to ensure all works are resourced with sufficiently competent and motivated resources for the role expected of them;

* Scheduling and Data Extraction from Databases

* Sustained Continuing Professional Development.
* Accredited BIM qualification. Desired but not essential.
* Professional qualification, degree or HNC/D or equivalent demonstrable experience
* Competent in use of general MS tools
* Experience in highway maintenance and management
* Driving licence

Knowledge and Experience

* Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle.
* Experience of Information Management (IM) and Common Data Environments (CDE)
* Experience of large complex projects in the rail, highways, infrastructure, water or energy sectors.
* Experience of managing the challenges associated with multi-disciplinary teams.
* Understanding of industry standards and protocols to support EIR and BEP requirements.
* Knowledge of MIDP & TIDPs to support the development of the Master Deliverables List to ensure supply chain BIM deliverables in line with the Skanska OWOW and Employers Information Requirements.
* Preferable to have experience of industrialised construction.
* Working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
* Project experience in supporting or managing the BIM process in accordance with PAS1192:2
* Full, Associate or Technician membership of a relevant Professional Institution.
