As a company they have grown massively over the last 20 years, their current site in Worcester is now five times the size! With the amount of projects they have in the pipeline this growth is only going to continue.

The Metallurgy team is responsible for conducting a variety of tests on various products to ensure the properties of the metals are correct, they are also responsible for investigating metal failures. This is a fantastic opportunity for Graduate Materials Engineer who is looking to get into a metallurgy role that can offer excellent training and career development.

The Role

The role of Graduate Materials Engineer will involve:

Lab based metallurgy role working in a highly experienced team of 3 reporting to the technical manager. Key responsibilities will involve:

* Conducting a variety of tests, including tensile and Optical emission spectroscopy
* Furnace calibration to ensure the temperature is correct, this will involve interrogation of data and monitoring furnace performance.
* Data analysis and producing documentation.
* Root cause analysis of metal failures.
* Working closely with key stakeholders within production and quality to improve productivity and efficiency.
* Continually develop lab processes.
* You will also be trained to be able to conduct audits.
* Involvement in producing FAIR's (first article inspection reports) documentation (this can be trained).

The Person

To be successful as a Graduate Materials Engineer you will need:

* A degree in a materials based subject e.g. Materials Engineering, Materials Technology, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Aerospace Materials etc.

* Motivated to work in a lab based testing role.

* Commutable to Worcester or happy to relocate
