12 month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to go permanent!

37.5 hours per 5 day week, nominal hours 08:30 to 17:00 with 1 hour lunch break.

About the company:

Our client, Adler and Allan Limited, is a provider of specialist environmental and asset management services to a range of businesses that handle, store and utilize hazardous liquids, principally oil-based fuels. The Group's targeted services have been developed to help its customers meet ever increasing regulatory and compliance-related obligations in particular by maintaining the integrity of their assets. A&A's services are performed by its highly skilled and accredited workforce on a planned and reactive basis from service centres around the UK.

To support and assist the SHEQ management team in the development and implementation of the quality, environmental and health and safety management systems, using a framework consisting of core health, safety, quality and environmental procedures, processes and work instructions. In addition the postholder will be required to regularly support the Specialist Fuels division based in Rainham, undertaking a range of administrative tasks in support of the sales and operational functions of the division.

Duties of the Compliance Administrator:

* Assist in communicating and distributing necessary information relating to legislative changes to the business and where required to affected clients.
* Communicate, support and raise awareness of the documented management system by way of email communication, intranet updates and quality control of the relevant networked areas.
* Assist with questionnaires, audits and accreditations as required.
* Subcontractor and supplier evaluation including the data entry to the Approved supplier and Subcontractor list.
* Monitoring and maintenance of Approved Supplier and Subcontractor List insurance and waste carriers licence expiry dates
* Aspects involving commercial related administrative duties including arranging couriers, raising Purchase Orders and other office duties
* Support document control and record control to demonstrate compliance.
* Support SHEQ team initiatives
* Provide data to and support management review processes.
* Answering the telephone is a professional manner and directing incoming telephone calls appropriately.
* Providing full office cover in the event of absence of other staff for any reason
* Collation and preparation of all office, works and job paperwork including accurate electronic and document filing.
* To carry out any reasonable request by management to undertake additional duties, when necessary in order to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements of the Compliance Administrator:

* Knowledge and be able to demonstrate best practice with regard to compliance, health and safety and quality matters.
* ISO9001 experience or knowledge would be highly advantageous but not essential as all training will be provided.
* Good telephone manner, used to regular contact with customers and suppliers.
* Experience of dealing with diverse groups of individuals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to tailor to different groups.
* Ability to multi task during busy times and ensure consistency of service.
* Strong numerical and computer skills including all Microsoft office applications.
