Due to an unforeseen circumstance, our client school in Rochdale are urgently looking to appoint an English teacher from September, to take on a full time teaching position. This post will initially be temporary due to the late nature of the post, but there will also be the opportunity for the successful English teacher to continue and secure a post at the school.

- Join an Ofsted Good secondary school with excellent facilities

- Earn up to �150 per day dependant on experience, paid weekly

Our client school is a large, modern secondary school situated in Rochdale with excellent links to the surrounding areas due to the good locality of the M62 motorway. The school is the product of two well-established secondary schools, which merged in 2009, to pool resources and ensure the students in the local community had the best facilities for their education. Since moving to the modern building, there has been a consistent climb in progress, attainment and student behaviour with the most recent Ofsted inspection in 2017 judging to the school to be ‘Good’ across all areas.

Whilst working at our client school, the successful English teacher will be responsible for the delivery of English for students in Year 7 through to Year 11, as well as planning and marking schemes of work, and supporting the faculty in assessments. The incoming English teacher will join a successful department with a track record of excellent results.

Requirements of this post;

* PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification with UK QTS

* Previous experience teaching English at GCSE

* The ability to build rapport with students and engage them with creative lessons

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
